The Voith unit is opened, cleaned and wear-measured in our İstanbul workshop. Hydraulic pump, rotor, stator and sealing elements are renewed according to the measurements, and the reassembled unit goes through a performance test. We do not decide between repair and full overhaul before the unit is open — instead of promising upfront, we share the measurements.

Unit intake and return

You can bring a stripped unit directly from Başakşehir, İkitelli, İOSB and Hadımköy and the surrounding area. We also accept units sent by courier from elsewhere in Türkiye; our Ankara and Gaziantep branches take units in and forward them to the workshop. Because turnaround depends on the condition of the unit and the parts required, we do not quote a number of days sight unseen.

Overhaul or a new unit

In most cases a remanufactured Voith unit is markedly more economical and faster to obtain than a new one. But if there is a cracked housing or unrepairable rotor damage we say so plainly and recommend a new unit rather than letting you spend money on an overhaul.

Telma in İstanbul: parts yes, workshop labour no

For Telma electromagnetic retarders we ship coils, rotors, discs, wiring harnesses and electronic control parts from stock. We do not take on workshop labour such as coil rewinding or rotor balancing — that is outside our scope. If your Telma unit needs labour we say so on the first call rather than having you move the vehicle for nothing.

From fault symptom to the right part

Stepped loss of braking force, no engagement at all, overheating, oil leaks or a warning lamp — each symptom points to a different component. Send the vehicle details and the symptom and we will narrow the possibilities before the unit is stripped. Ordering the wrong part costs more than a phone call.

Parts delivery in İstanbul and the surrounding area

We ship retarder spare parts across İstanbul — including Başakşehir, İkitelli, İOSB and Hadımköy — and to the provinces of Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Bursa, Sakarya and Yalova. In-stock items go out the same day; for anything not held in stock we confirm the lead time in writing before you order.

Do you repair retarders in İstanbul?

Yes. Voith hydraulic retarder repair and complete overhaul are carried out in our own workshop at the İstanbul branch; the labour is not outsourced. For Telma electromagnetic retarders we supply spare parts only and do not carry out workshop labour.

Should I bring the unit already removed?

We accept stripped units, and you can also send one by courier. Calling to describe the symptom before you start can save you an unnecessary teardown and transport.

How long does an overhaul take?

It depends on the condition of the unit and whether the required parts are in stock. Once the unit is open and wear measurements are taken we confirm the scope and the timeline — we do not quote days sight unseen.

Can I send a unit from outside İstanbul?

Yes. We accept units by courier from across Türkiye, and units left at our Ankara or Gaziantep branches are forwarded to the workshop.
